The Dinghy Skipper_01

The Dinghy Skipper_01

The Dinghy Skippers will return on June 29th at 8 PM EDT.

"What has it got in its nasty little pocketses?"

Your date may ask you this if they spot your Dinghy Skipper while out to dinner. ā€œBehold,ā€ you may say to your date, ā€œthe wallet to rule them all!ā€

Our Dinghy Skipper_01 is our first hand-sewn bi-fold. Inspired by the wonderful pleasure of holding an unopened chocolate bar in your hands. There is something about a softly rounded rectangular object that just feels so right. It has to be something evolutionary, right? The basis for all tools? Who knows. Not the right time for a philosophical discussion. We spent an obnoxiously long time designing this bi-fold: the subtly sloped pockets for easy card reach, its height in relation to credit cards, it’s thickness to feel substantial but not over the top, a lightly matted and textured leather (to match a fancy chocolate bar), and a higher amount of stitches per inch just to brag about how talented Bronson (the leather maker of your piece) is. A wallet says a lot about a person. The Dinghy Skipper says more.

The goal was a minimal and clean design with a penchant for deepening richness as time goes by. A wallet is your pocket filing cabinet. It must be beautiful, tough as nails, pleasing to the eye, and a blank canvas for your pocketed journeys. Finally, we must assume this is your last wallet and that you never wish to search for a wallet again. While we’ve already handled the quality of materials section of this piece, we must also handle repairs. All Dinghy Skippers come with a Lifetime Stitch Guarantee; that is,Ā if a stitch fails, we’ll fix it. If there is a catastrophic failure due to your wild habits, give us an email; it couldn’t hurt. Now, load up your Dinghy Skipper, let it come to life, and get to breaking it in. Mine started looking cooler after I fell into a lake.
